“ Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
The theme of unity would not be fully engaged without addressing racial wounds and pursuing reconciliation. At Azusa Now, we sought to stand on the wall of intercession on behalf of our African-American brothers and sisters.
In the midst of rising racial tensions and pain from past wounds and the injustices of slavery and segregation, we as the body of Christ are called to bring the solution to the world--the righteousness of Christ.
At the gathering on April 9th, our African American friends and ministry partners Reverend Patterson, Apostle Fred Berry and Minister Jonathan Tremaine Thomas brought a word of freedom in Christ and reconciliation. They shared an exhortation to African American believers in America to pursue and receive healing from the blood of Jesus for the pain of injustice in their hearts then extend forgiveness that will release an anointing and spark spiritual awakening.
