Why “Rise Up” is Important!

By Dehavilland Ford

God in his mercy is calling forth a remnant of women out of the western church, to be voices in this hour that will pray and contend for the most oppressed nationally and globally.  God confirmed this to me in a powerful dream.  In the dream, I was at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC, at an outdoor prayer gathering with thousands of women. A spiritual father of mine, Lou Engle, is handed the microphone and begins to say, “Its time for the women preachers to arise!  It’s time for the women voices to arise!  If you’re a woman and this is your calling, get up here.” Suddenly, thousands of women began running and charging the stage like horses let out of a stall.  Lou then says, “Ok, I guess I’m done here.” I then say to him, “Lou, you’re not done, because it is time for you to release your mantle, like Elijah, on a company of Elisha women. This is not going to just mark them, but brand them.”

As the dream continues, I then get on an elevator which takes me underneath the Lincoln Memorial and I go into a room and to my surprise, I see hundreds of Muslim women, dressed in black burqas, covered from head to toe with only their eyes showing.  These oppressed but spiritually hungry women, were in a receiving posture with their arms raised and hands open, waiting to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Behind all the women were rows of empty Coca Cola bottles.  We began leading them in prayers for salvation, and laid hands on them to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and the dream ended.  I awoke from the dream sobbing, with the presence of the Lord filling our bedroom, and I spent the rest of the night in intercession.  When I could finally compose myself enough to share the dream with my husband and here is the interpretation the Lord gave to us.

The dream takes place in America at a memorial to President Abraham Lincoln who is recognized for his work in freeing slaves, because God has released an ‘Emancipation Proclamation’ to women preachers. Their prayers have come up as a memorial before God, and they are being called to take their place to be voices on the stage of history. The older generation of spiritual fathers are not done, until they raise up their sons AND daughters. Like from Elijah to Elisha, God wants spiritual fathers and mothers to pass their mantle to their double portion daughters as well, to preach with Holy Spirit power.

One interesting part of this dream are the Coca Cola empty bottles, aligned on the shelves behind the Islamic women.  Coca Cola is one of the most popular drinks in the Middle East and their old slogan used to be, “It’s the Real Thing.” It’s time to gather many empty vessels, and not a few, for an epic global outpouring!  The women in burqas represent not only the impact this will have in the Middle East, but women being emancipated from every religious bondage through the real thing that changed America, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  God is waking up his sleeping beauty, the church, and women will play a key role in librating the nations.

After sharing this dream for 2 years, I recently had another dream which confirmed the mandate of this dream.  In the recent dream, an angel appears to me and says, “Have you been faithful to share the women preacher dream?”  I said, “Yes, I have.”  The angel then said, “Then you must not forget to share Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:16 with this dream.”

I awoke from the dream and looked up Joel 2:28 which says, “And it will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions.” (Joel 2:28 NASB).  Acts 2:16 says, ““but this is that spoken by the prophet Joel:” (Acts 2:16 KJVS).”

With all that is going on today, with the heroine / opiate epidemic in the suburbs, the crack and gang activity that is decimating the inner city, the porn-ification of a generation, the abortion crisis as well as the racial tension that is trying to divide the nation, I believe Rise Up on October 9th could be our “this is that” moment for our sons and daughters of this generation.

Women, its time to answer the call, and run the race set before us and contend for an epic outpouring! It is Psalm 68:11-12 which says, “The Lord gives the command; The women who proclaim the good tidings are a great host: Kings of armies flee, they flee, And she who remains at home will divide the spoil!” (Psalms 68:11-12 NASB).

This is why I’m so excited that this dream is becoming a reality.  This dream is only one of several prophetic encounters Lou received in past 3 years that confirmed to him we are to do this historic gathering of mothers and daughters fasting and praying for a tremendous harvest.  We are calling tens and perhaps hundreds  of thousands of women to prepare like Esther and arise like Deborah to contend for an outpouring for the sake of our sons and daughters of this generation. Take up the charge and join us on October 9th, 2017 on the National Mall, the place where dreams come true.
